The new Cialis Together contains the active ingredient Tadalafil at 10mg. The Medicines and Healthcare Regulatory Agency approved the reclassification of Cialis Together to a pharmacy medicine (and not a prescription-only medicine) which permits it to be purchased from some brick-and-mortar pharmacies without a prescription after a consultation with a suitably trained pharmacist. This product otherwise is no different from Tadalafil or its branded version, Cialis. At ED Pharmacy, our in-house prescribers can issue prescriptions for any strength regardless of their license classification.
Erectile dysfunction can be due to many causes, for example, medical factors, age, stress, lifestyle, inadequate rest, or smoking and alcohol. In some of these circumstances, patients can make some changes to combat these effects. In other cases, treatment using medication may be considered. Cialis Together comes as a 10mg tablet.
Cialis / Cialis Together is the older branded version of the drug Tadalafil and is used to treat erectile dysfunction. Cialis Together increases blood flow to the penis allowing for a more prolonged erection. Cialis Together belongs to the drug family Phosphodiesterase Type 5 Inhibitors.
Dosage
- There is one strength of Cialis Together: 10mg
- Take one tablet 30 minutes before sexual activity. No more than one tablet in 36 hours.
- The active ingredient is Tadalafil. The non-branded (generic) version works in the same way, Tadalafil.
How it works
Cialis Together belongs to a group of drugs known as pde5 inhibitors that work to relax blood vessels that in turn allow for easier blood flow to the penis giving the user a firmer and more prolonged erection. It should be noted that the effects of Cialis Together will only be beneficial under sexual stimulation. Cialis Together should begin to work between thirty and sixty minutes after taking it. However, if you have eaten a heavy meal or consumed alcohol before using Cialis Together (Tadalafil), the effects of the drug to stimulate an erection may be delayed.
Cialis Together remains in the body for 36 hours and is typically taken as a single-dose tablet thirty to sixty minutes before sexual activity. The starting dose for Cialis (Tadalafil) is 10mg though this may be increased to 20mg if found too weak. At ED Pharmacy we have other strengths of Tadalafil should you wish to revise your dose. On the other hand, if your erection lasts longer than you would like, you may adjust the dose and use less.
It is not recommended that you take Cialis Together more than once daily. You should wait for at least 36 hours between Cialis doses.
Tadalafil vs Cialis Together
Tadalafil is the generic name of the branded drug Cialis Together. Cialis contains the active drug Tadalafil and it is for this reason, the effects of both drugs are the same. Patients will not receive subpar medication with Tadalafil, though they will save on cost as the patent for the drug is now open, meaning that the company that owns the name Cialis, Lilly, no longer has the sole license for manufacturing Tadalafil.
Cialis Together vs Sildenafil/ViagraÂ
Cialis Together and Sildenafil (the generic name for Viagra), are part of the same family of drugs. However, the effects of Cialis Together or Tadalafil can last longer in patients. Cialis can continue to help you achieve an erection for up to thirty-six hours after use; do not be concerned, as the erection itself will not last for this length of time. The thirty-six-hour window simply means that, with the aid of sexual stimulation, you will be able to get an erection without the need to take an extra tablet.
Possible Side Effects
As with all medications, there is a risk that you may experience some negative side effects when using Cialis Together. Often these are mild and will subside, however, if you experience any of the following then you should stop using Cialis Together and consult a medical professional immediately:
- Chest pain
- A painful erection that does not subside
- Skin rash
The most common side effects of Cialis Together, occurring in up to one in ten people are:
- Pain in the arms and legs
- Headache
- Back pain
- Indigestion
- Flushes
- Congestion
- Dizziness
